Mark your calendars! This year the picnic will coincide with our traditional rally day when worship is moved to 10:30am and 9:30am Sunday School starts.
While we will supplement the meal with some catered food like last year, this is intended to be a potluck, and there is an orange sign-up sheet on the mission board for RSVP #'s and a dish to share. You can also contact the church office to sign up. Help is also needed for setup the day before; please stay tuned for more on that. Hope you can join us!
Misfit Heroes is offering a Grab & Go outside First Pres on August 24th. In order to make that event happen, they're asking for help. The event and all the details are on Facebook here.
Please consider donating non-perishable food, hygiene items, and gently used clothes. This isn’t just about homelessness; it’s about standing in the gap for struggling families, vulnerable seniors, and anyone going through a tough time. Drop-off is here at our church building.
Misfit Heroes is a ministry started by Courtney Jackson. You may know her as the person who runs the daycare upstairs and she is also the new director of YoungLives single parents ministry.
