Help is needed to cleanup the Coalition Room! The Blessing Shop could not handle all of what needs to be donated, so we found an organization that will bring a truck to church THIS SATURDAY and take away what we have. It will park on DeKalb Street and will be there between 12-1pm. We need volunteers that day to move all of the bags from the Coalition Room to the DeKalb Street foyer and then volunteers to help load the truck.
The company that collects the bags runs this as a fundraiser. They will weigh what we donate. They pay per pound so we will receive a check which we can use for other Coalition needs. You are welcome to bring items from home that day and add them to what is being donated from upstairs.
Accepted items are:
Clothing and outerwear for men, women & children
Clothing accessories - shoes, belts, backpacks, handbags
Household items - bed linens, tablecloths, curtains, towels
Stuffed animals, small children's toys & bicycles
They do NOT take electronics, outdoor play equipment, quilts or other large household items, workout equipment, board games, or baby gear.
Please RSVP to the church office or to Cindy Serratore if you can help. If there are not enough volunteers, we will need to reschedule the pickup.
