The 1st Pres Sports Club held the 3rd Annual Harry W. Plichta Memorial Mini Golf Outing on Saturday, May 11. The cool weather proved pleasant for the 58 people who gathered for mini golf and ice cream. Children and adults alike had a wonderful time. First Pres thanks Bill Plichta for his leadership in making this event happen!
Last night we celebrated the Ascension and Lord's Supper with the saints of First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport in their sanctuary. The service was NOT livecast/recorded nor do we have any pictures of it, but that just reinforced the simplicity and beauty of the small joint gathering of saints last night. May we be a community that continues to celebrate that our Lord Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father.
Young Lives is a ministry that supports teenage parents, and it meets right here in our building. Their director Dylan Miller (along with one of the single parents from their ministry) will be presenting soon.
From now through Father's Day, we're collecting loose change to support this important ministry. You can pick up a baby bottle on Sunday and work to fill the bottle with change.
